About this scene
Edward Elric - Equivalent Exchange is a single-voice monologue in the register of a young alchemist addressing a skeptic. The trick of the pack is the third and fourth lines: a general principle, then a confession that makes the principle personal. Players who try to over-act the closing line lose coverage; the line works best delivered as a quiet admission. Most players land the rhythm on the second pass.
